My top 5 TMCI moments
My top 5 TMCI moments
I was sitting on a couch at the Main Hall and waiting to meet other students. At that time, I could feel something was about to happen, and it is the first moment of being at the institute that I remember so well. Little did I know that in a couple of minutes I was going to meet some of my favorite people in the world. It is said that universities come alive when they are full of students. Now I can tell from my own experience that it is true. It fascinates me how diverse, unique and talented the people here are. I gained a sense of community that makes my days interesting, enjoyable, and inspiring.
My second favorite moment was getting to organize a Clubs Fair, which was a hard and tiresome task for me to accomplish as a freshman, but it was the first big event at TMC that I was a part of. Connecting to the Club Leaders, listening to their ideas, and seeing their enthusiasm was the best thing about the whole experience. It was delightful to see how creative and responsible they all were while decorating their tables and preparing for the event. It is so rare to find a group of people who create such a colorful, vibrant, and positive atmosphere around them like we had that day.
The third moment was more like a three-hour lesson that I enjoyed thoroughly. At TMC, we have a Community of Graphic Designers Club where students learn and practice Graphic Design. My first ever lesson was a failure, as I couldn’t get used to one particular tool on Photoshop. Then, I practiced, and I have created my first poster I felt proud of during my second lesson. The satisfaction I felt from this first good result made me feel motivated and inspired to keep going. It was one of the best feelings ever.
My fourth favorite moment was dancing with my friends at the Freshman Party and having fun. As simple as it is, taking a step back and enjoying your life is as important as working on your goals and studying.
The fifth moment that I remember liking happened during a lecture by Ms. Mukhabbat, where we were creating a mind map as a team. I loved this activity not only because we won at the end, but also because everyone from our group suggested their own unique perspective and contributed to the conversation.
Being a student and attending an international institute is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that I hope to use to the fullest, so I would have even more great memories and moments to remember.
