As the Executive Dean at TMC Institute in Tashkent I am so lucky to bring my experience to such a wonderful country. I have worked in Higher Education for over 30 years in the UK and have been involved with UK overseas programs for 20 years. During this time, I have worked with Institutions in Tashkent and appreciate how wonderful and gifted the students are.  I now have a chance to work closer with these students in order to enhance their skills.

Being based in the country I feel that this will allow me to have greater in-depth guidance of my academic team. More importantly, I will be able to interact more closely with our students in order to ensure that they have the best learning experience. That is my aim!

I will bring you the highest quality lecturers from across Asia and the UK.

Executive Dean

Farkhod Abdurakhmonov, DSc in politics, associate professor. He was born in Bukhara, Uzbekistan in 1968. He received his higher education diploma from Tashkent State University of Economics in 1994. From 1994 to 2005 he worked in banking system and in higher education institutions of Uzbekistan. Winning Indian government scholarship, he studied in Hyderabad University of India during 2005-2007 and got his Master degree in economics. From 2008 to 2010 he worked as a coordinator in World Bank’s Project on “Health and Education Monitoring and Evaluation Capacity Building” (Uzbekistan). From 2010 to 2014 he worked as a Chief accountant in foreign companies. During 2014-2019 he was PhD scholar in Taiwan, at that time he won grant of Erasmus+ and studied in University of Bordeaux, France. He was awarded a PhD from the National Chiao Tung University in 2019.

Dr. Farkhod Abdurakhmonov

Ms. Feruzakhon Ziyovuddin holds MBA degree from FMS, Delhi University; M.A. Economics degree from Jamia Millia Islamia University (India) as well as Masters (International Economy) from Tashkent State Oriental Studies Institute. Feruzakhon is fluent in 6 languages and currently learning two more! Feruzakhon brings 12 years of international expertise and has worked both in emergency duty stations as well as developmental contexts throughout her career. To start with she gained private sector experience with automobile giant, Suzuki India and since 2009 she was employed by UNICEF successfully contributing to number of mission assignments as Human Resources Specialist. Her most recent position held is Office Manager/Human Resources Officer to the Director, Human Resources Management where Feruzakhon has been commended for her achievements.

Ms. Feruzakhon Ziyovuddin

Meet your English Language Foundation teacher Bekmuradova, M.N. who will help you to find yourself speaking confidently in front of any audience using the perfect English at the end of the academic year. Ms. Muhabbat was born in 1981 in Termez, graduated from the Uzbekistan State World Languages University with Master’s degree in English philology. From 2002 to 2004 she taught English to students of both bachelors and master’s degree of the same university. In 2005 she entered Teikyo Loretto Heights University, Colorado, USA. Then she continued her career in America in the field of education. She lived and worked in the United States for over 15 years, during which she gained vast experience working with both children and adults.

Ms. Muhabbat Bekmuradova

Ms. Esther Lee is the Head of the Hawthorn Language School. Prior to TMC Academy, she was the co-founder and Academic Director of another Private Institute in Singapore. She holds a Master of Arts in Education and a post graduate certificate in TEFL, Teaching English as a Foreign Language. Miss Esther Lee has been in the training field since 1973 and also holds an ACTA certificate (Advanced Certificate in Training and Assessment) by WSQ.

I’ve started my academic journey by entering into Samarkand State Institute of Foreign Languages in Faculty of Translation Theory and Practice. There I learned English and German literature and I was so passionate about foreign languages and their culture. I followed my passion and left for the UK to get better understating of foreign world. Then in 2010, I graduated from the University of Wales Lampeter UK with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management. Post that, I worked for well-known hospitality company - Marriott International Hotels in London. There I gained endless skills and expertise in Tourism and Business Management, business planning, analytical skills, international business and Finance/Accounting. Further, I moved to Dubai, UAE and gained Finance and Accounting experiences by working for Marriott International Middle East and Africa.

Ms. Aziza Turaeva

Dr. Ang Chin-Siang received both his bachelor degree in Human Development and Information Technology and PhD degree in Developmental Psychology from the Putra University Malaysia in 2010 and 2014, respectively. He is currently a senior lecturer in the School of Psychology at TMC Academy, Singapore where he teaches an array of psychology courses for diploma and degree students. He is also involved in supervising degree students in their dissertations. Prior to joining TMC Academy, he served as an Assistant Professor as well as the head of department for School of Psychology at UCSI University, Malaysia. His research interest includes well-being, emotional, and motivation. He has solid academic record with a proven commitment to working with individuals to understand the value of health and wellbeing, whilst assisting with supporting individuals with special needs or those that are disadvantaged.

Rachel Gomez

Assistant Professor of Philosophy

Franklin Doyle is an elected Fellow of the Academy of Behavioral Psychology Research, the premier honorary organization for scientists working at the interface of behavior and medicine, and he has been appointed to serve on two consensus committees at the Estudiar Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine. Outside of the academy, Doyle’s research has been cited in several amicus curiae briefs.

Rodney Estrada is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Estudiar University. She has published over 125 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, which have appeared in leading journals.Before coming to Estudiar, Rodney earned a B.A. from Carleton College (2006), an M.F.A. in philosophy from New York University (2010), and a Ph.D. in Literary Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison (2015).

Lecturer in Philosophy

Calvin Foster is BA Journalism course leader and I teaches on the BA and the MA Magazine and MA journalism courses. He currently leads four modules – level 6 International Journalism Special Study, level 5 Journalism Research Paper, level 4 Journalism and the Wider World and MA Feature Writing. I also teach MA ethics and on a foundation module. Before joining Estudiar, he spent two decades working full time as a journalist including ten years at the Independent newspaper.

Calvin Foster

Lecturer in Journalism

Professor Eva Willis received her Ph.D. from Cornell in 2005 and began teaching at Princeton, coming to Estudiar in 2009. Her interests include philosophy of mind and moral psychology, the nature of testimony, aesthetics and the philosophy of literature, and the later Wittgenstein. Eva Willis has recently taught courses on the above topics, and on speech-acts, philosophy of action, self-consciousness and intersubjectivity, and Marcel Proust.

Assistant Professor of Science and Philosophy

Hester Cox received her PhD from the University of Wisconsin, after which she taught at Illinois State University for three years before coming to Estudiar. Her research interests are in the areas of social and political philosophy and ethics. Her most sustained research projects concern political liberalism and political legitimacy, educational justice, and the gendered division of labor.

Professor of Politics

Cordelia Nichols is the Chair and Professor of Jurisprudence at the University of Estudiar and a Professorial Fellow at University College. Before that she was a professor of philosophy at Rutgers University, New Brunswick, New Jersey in the United States. She has held visiting positions at the University of California, Los Angeles philosophy department and at the University of Chicago Law School.

Cordelia Nichols

Assistant Professor of Philosophy

Luke Robertson is an intellectual historian specializing in twentieth-century Europe. He earned his BA in Mathematics and History at the University of Cambridge, and his PhD at Harvard University. Before coming to Estudiar, he taught for a decade at Drew University. Baring has held fellowships from the National Endowment of the Humanities, the ACLS, and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation. At Estudiar he holds a joint appointment with the University Center for Human Values.
