I take great honour and pride in leading TMC Institute in Tashkent as the Rector of the institute. I bring with me several years of international experience acquired through working and studying in places such as Singapore. Having personally experienced the quality of British education and the student life in Singapore, I decided to put in my efforts to ensure that similar levels of authentic international student experience and education is offered to a larger student community in my home country. 

TMC Institute is established with the aim to present our students the opportunity to study with some of the best ranked universities form UK. AT TMC Institute our key strengths are our Student Centric Approach, Skills based learning approach, Industry oriented degree programmes and our global network. As a Rector, I have my roots in Uzbekistan and truly understand the expectations of Uzbek parents and recognize the potential of our Uzbek students. I am committed to ensure that we give every student the best quality of education and support system required to groom them as future leaders of our country and be employed in Uzbekistan and abroad. With over four decades of law teaching experience, Johnny Jones is a nationally-recognized constitutionalist who has received numerous awards for his teaching, including the first-ever Pioneer Award for his commitment and dedication to students from the FIU Student Bar Association in 2004. Since then, students have voted him “Professor of the Year” multiple times.

Dennis Ruiz was a member of the faculty at Texas Tech University School of Law, where she held the Alvin R. Allison Distinguished Professorship and received every teaching award the law school and the University conferred. She was the Distinguished Fulbright Professor of American Constitutional Law at the National and Kapodistrian University of Greece in 1992.

Vernon Lowe first joined the University in 2006 as Assistant Dean for Academic Support Programs. He served as Assistant Dean until 2013, when he became a full time lecturer at the College. He teaches classes relating to legal theory and reasoning, race and law, gender and law, and in the area of commercial transactions.

Mr Leslie Brown

As the Executive Dean at TMC Institute in Tashkent I am so lucky to bring my experience to such a wonderful country. I have worked in Higher Education for over 30 years in the UK and have been involved with UK overseas programs for 20 years. During this time, I have worked with Institutions in Tashkent and appreciate how wonderful and gifted the students are. I now have a chance to work closer with these students in order to enhance their skills. Being based in the country I feel that this will allow me to have greater in-depth guidance of my academic team. More importantly, I will be able to interact more closely with our students in order to ensure that they have the best learning experience. That is my aim! I will bring you the highest quality lecturers from across Asia and the UK.

After years of extensive and fruitful period of his life in Singapore, Mr. Aziz Valikhanov went on a daring mission – establish a world-class institute, that will unlock the potential of the Uzbek youth. His considerable international experience in the field of education and unique management style is a key towards the success of his students.

Betty Bowman joined the faculty in 2002, and received tenure there in 2007. Before joining the faculty, she was a visiting assistant professor at Syracuse University College of Law. Prior to that, she was a legal consultant with JPMorgan Chase; a contract attorney for Cravath, Swaine & Moore; and an assistant prosecutor for the Ministry of the Attorney General in Toronto, Canada.
